NHS iPhone Application - Service Finder

The NHS came to MyOxygen Mobile to talk about the opportunity of creating an iPhone application to enhance their latest "Choose Well" campaign. The NHS Service finder iPhone application helps the public when making a decision on where to go when in need of urgent and emergency health care 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Included in the application is the ability to set reminders for important appointments, like your next dentist appointment. The application stores the reminder in a queue on a server and sends a push notification reminder at the time requested.
ICE "In Case of Emergency" has been included to allow the user the ability to store all their important medical records and important contact details of next of kin, if the owner finds themselves in an emergency and without assistance they can press the alarm button on the application and the next of kin will be sent an alert including the XY coordinates of the user.

NHS SMS Application Appointment Reminders
Project details
MyOxygen have developed a simple Web based application allowing GP centres the ability to input a patients next appointment. By including the patient's mobile number the patient will receive a text message with time, date and doctor's name as well as the ability for the user to call or text back if they can not make the appointment. The application also allows the translation of text via Googles Translation API.

Figures released on 24 August 2004 by Developing Patient Partnerships (DPP) and the Institute of Healthcare Management, reveal that almost 9 million GP appointments (the equivalent of around £162 million) and just under 4 million practice nurse appointments are missed each year.
Learn Direct Scotland - Mobile Course Search Application
Project details
MyOxygen created a mobile optimised search application so users could search for courses provided by Learn Direct Scotland the application allowed users the ability to input their postcode or area and see on a map the courses available nearest to their location including course information. A shared short code was set up so a WAP link could be requested via SMS

SPAR - Mobile Voucher campaign
Project details
Spar wholesaler, Tates Ltd, are launching their new “Tim Hortons”-branded coffee and pastries offering at their flagship Haymarket store supported by a Bluetooth marketing initiative provided by MyOxygen. During the launch week, a mobile Bluetooth transmitter carried by roaming “Mounties”, is sending out discounted vouchers to passers-by who can receive the vouchers on their mobile phones via Bluetooth. The voucher contains details of a coffee and donut, the offer and a barcode which will be scanned in store.

BBC - Mobile VIdeo distribution
Project details
BBC content including videos, audio and games were broadcast from MyOxygen mobile hubs using Bluetooth, on a number of London Buses on certain routes in London. The Bluetooth transmitters provided by MyOxygen Mobile were stowed away securely on the the Metro line buses and passengers were prompted to switch bluetooth on to participate.

MyOxygen provided Somerset Council a solution to broadcast a £60 off incentive for young drivers participating in PASS PLUS scheme.A mobile optimised video was broadcast using Bluetooth Transmitters and a shared shortcode was set up to allow the download of a WAP link to a video showing how young drivers could get £60 off the scheme.

MyOxygen worked with BBC switch to help broadcast media rich content to visitors of the BIG WEEKEND event. MyOxygen developed a java based event guide that was downloadable at varies Bluetooth spots within the Big Weekend. The Mobile guide included maps video and offers as well as video clips
